I did my BPT swap there. Go for it. They are masters when it comes to ZE swap to the MX-3. Say hi to Steve for me.

No problem. They should be able to do the swap within a week. If they are not too busy. Here's there link http://www.a-spec.ca/

They did my 4cyl to 6cyl swap. They were busy at the time so it took about 4 weeks. The day I went to pick it up they were just puttin the intake on and hadn't even started it yet. But everything went fine. Good guys, go for it.

A-spec isn't near Oshawa.

They are in Etobicoke by the 401 and Kipling.

I got my ze swap done there, they definately know what they're doing. Sometimes you gotta hound em to get stuff done though, and they got bad memories

That's very true Jutzi420. I do recommend getting everything in writing.

Wanted to revive this topic as I'd like a bit of advice.

I've got a '93 GS and want to get the KLZE swap done this spring or summer if possible. I was toying with the idea of having A-SPEC in Canada do the swap, since they specialize in it, could likely source the engine, and I'm not insanely far away. I'm based in Detroit,so it'd involve some kind of road trip drop off....and given that situation I obviously would desire a several day (not week) timeframe to get it done. Of course, I don't know if that kind of schedule is even possible for them...and I'd certainly need to be talking to them way ahead of time. Their website now appears to be dead, however....so, anyone know their status or contact info?

On the flip side, I could try to source the engine (and ECU, clutch, trans, etc.) independently, and try and have a local garage do the swap. Of course, I'd be concerned about the specific knowledge of our cars, cost containment, etc. I'd also be concerned about getting a good clean KLZE to start with, and the quality of work done by the local garage.

So, what would your guys' advice be? Although I've replaced brakes, struts/springs, shifter, etc. on my car, I'm no mechanic. Looking for a 3rd party to do the swap seemed the best idea. Of course, if anyone knows a good Detroit-area garage that does this kind of work, so much the better. :)
