is there anyone who makes a turbo for this little 1.6sohc? i dont feel like dropn a new engine till this one is smoked. ive read all the advice that going from this to a 1.8 is about the only way to find turbo and get an engine to fit in this w/o changing everything from the headlights to the firewall. would a honda turbo fit this 4 banger? or can i find one for this engine. hell if someone found a way to mod one id be happy. hook me up.

It's the piping that you need to get. You don't want to get a turbo that is too powerful unless you get a boost controller or you WILL smoke your engine. Go with a turbo off a wrecked 2nd gen eclipse and get an intercooler from an older starion, and you are set. Now all you have to find is someone to bend some piping and figure out where to run it. I'm sure that the engine's internals won't hold alot of boost, but you should be able to get about 100-110HP out of it.

I'm in the same boat man (SOHC). The 2nd gen eclipse set up is decent and they have an air flow meter thing too so the piping should be similar( not the manifold though).<BR>I think Dave said our motor could take like 10 psi but for daily drivability id stay 6. Corksport (I think) and Steve Millen Racing makes a 4-1 turbo manifold u might want to look at if your gonna be making a custom one anyway.

protege, are you talking about the b6t internals? i wouldn't think that the n/a sohc internals could hold all that much.

I honestly belive it owuld be cheaper to turbo your current motor than swap out to a new one.. Give the other parts you would need and the labor involved the costs could be vastly diffrent.
