Re: Cleaning rims
Steel Wool
Brillo Pad
Cat Pee
Bleach
Acid
Any of those will work.
j/k-- but you may think of using a very fine grit sand paper if you have tried all the cleaners on the market.
Have you tried Simple Green?

Re: Cleaning rims
Apparently you are not suposed to use any cleaners on your rims or your tires, as it slowly corrodes them. So steel wool is a big NO NO.
But I said 'apparently'. Personally I used my mums kitchen scowering pads and lots of elbow greese and sweat to clean my rims. They didnt look too bad, but Im still not impressed. So Im buying a new set.
Also Some places will recondition your rims, that makes them look totally new.

Re: Cleaning rims
I have the ugly "honeycomb" stock rims.
Simple green works wonders. so does this acidic purple stuff i use(dont know the name). it pretty much lifts the crap off the rims...damn brake dust.
just spray whatever you use on...wash your car as normal..come back to the rims and scrubb..i use a toothbrush for those hard to reach places and a regular brush. rims look NICE and clean ofter that.

Re: Cleaning rims
Just buy a rims wash spray from Crappy Tire and wash it with a JetWash and its clean as a whistle.
If not spray wait for a minute and get a toothbrush and brush lightly.... looks nice when its done.

Re: Cleaning rims
The simplest way to wash any tire, without anyhting but soap (touch the wheels last with your spounge or cloth for those who dont know! They have the most dirt and that is not good to rub against your paint) is to take a pressure washer and blast that caked on dirt right off. most of the time I dont have ot touch the wheels to get them shining on any car. Just dont hit your paint when doing this... you might get idea as to what might happen.
