I just had to share this with you guys. <p>I went to Earl Scheib to get an estimate on re-painting my front bumper and he gave me that estimate -- then he told me that he could paint THE WHOLE CAR for $400. And they would have to keep it overnight.

Be careful!!!!!! It is really cheap paint.. Worse than Maaco.. If you do not plan on having the paint more than a year or two than go ahead. But I've had a "quick fix" before on a different car and a year later it was dull, faded, and chipping.

I'm planning on having them do a paint job on mine. My car is already peeling and what not. I've got a coupon for a $500 paint job for only $200. If it only lasts 1-2 years, it's worth it.

IF it lasts 1 or 2 years, then yes that would be worth it, but paint jobs dont just "go bad" all at once. After this winter, and its sunny next spring, you'll see how unevenly faded the paint is, and how a little chip will turn into a BIG chip. You'll get about 8 good months out of it, after that it will go to crap. So be careful. I know it sounds to good to be true, which means it likely is. 400$ to do the entire car? I forget where ur from, but here in ontario, my moms hood got keyed to the 2001 focus, that was 450$ alone! JUST THE HOOD! so you can predict hwo good of a paint job 400$ will be for the ENTIRE car. (but that's jsut my 2 cents)
