Need gauge help, asap!

Ok i've got my gauge cluster in peices all over my table. the faces are succesfully installed over the oem ones.<p>now i have to wire this inverter to the headlight power supply. where is that on a 92GS!?<p>it says red for positive and black for negative. my steering column and intrument panel is a gaping hole, but there are a bunch of wires in there. which one is the headlight power supply?<p>-Abs

Ground it anyplace. As for the poitive, if you wanna do it right this is my recomendation:<p>Get a multimeter and start testing the wires in the wireing harness(the car side not the cluster side). connect it to one of the leads and turn on the lights. Keep doing that until you find the one that powers the light. Then splice your red wire into that one.

sucessful gauge install :) <p>the grounding wire was the hardest. i grounded to a screw way way in the back of the gauge cavity, cause i couldnt loosen that bolt right in front of the fuse box.<p>thanks guys.<p>-Abs

I used the spare negative and illumination wires where the stereo is. Works fine.
