heres what id like to do but need suggestions and some help. i wanna shave the stock mx3 antenna bc its dumb looking where it is and would like to get one of those tiny ones. i have the power sunroof so where should i put it and do they work well?<BR>Dan

If you're talking about a fin style antenna just put it before your squirter. They work just fine if you get one with power amplification.

Better yet, get a CD player and then you won't need an antenna!! :)

sonic-do you know of a few websites that carry these types because thats what im lookin for.<BR>and i have an alpine system in my car but there are only so many cds i can take for long trips.

Get an MDLP minidisc receiver. 5 Hours of music on each disc, that should be enough for long trips. :) I love mine and its cool to have something in your car thats different when everyone else has CDs. And if you buy a minidisc recorder with NetMD you can record 5 hours of music in about 10 minutes.

few months ago i got the alpine motorized flip down cd player with the blue back lit. the question isnt equipment its where to find those little antennas.<BR>Dan

i dont know of any sites, but you should have no trouble finding them in automotive stores or car/audio stores. Here Best Buy and Circuit City carry them, however they are not posted on they're websites. You can even find them at select wal mart stores if you're lucky.

I had the antenna shaved on my car a few years back. I ended up replacing it will one that sits on the inside of my front window just above the mirror...took about 30min to install. I didn't want to cut into the roof at all so that is why I went with the one for the inside of the window.<BR>The reception is alot better than the stock one.
