Hi gang,

I've been browsing around this forum for awhile, so wanted to start off by saying hello! reading on here saved me the unneeded expense of buying new headlights. =)

well... getting to it, i was on a highway ramp doing about 50 when my power steering suddenly quit on me. temperature shot up like crazy too. tried to turn on the heat to help that, but it was blowing cold.

i managed to get home in one piece, and popped the hood. i can see a broken belt all the way at the bottom, next to the alternator belt.

well.. i'm not the most technical guy, so i was hoping someone could tell me exactly what belt i should i ask for at the store, or perhaps what size it is? its for a 92 GS, 6 spd.

also, how in the world would i put it back on? there seems like a TON of stuff in the way. would i have to do it from underneath?

thnx all!

-Jim

i would get both belts, never know when you will need the the other, you got to go from the bottom, untighten the nut on the front of the tensioner pulley, then back it out from the bottom, slip on the new belt and reverse process

yep, custom transmission! pretty sweet, right?

haha jk

was gonna jsut say 6 cyl, 5 spd, and it kinda got jumbled together... but both pieces of info are probably extraneous, huh?

thnx for the tip, i'll have to make sure to be careful
