stock strut bar on the klze with ms8 intake

Post by Black Magic »

I tried to put the stock strut bar on the klze, but it didn't work, because it would sit right on top of the intake manifold. Than I tried to put it on reverse, so the bar is a bit more to the firewal, it sits very tight on top of the block off plate at the back of the intake manifold but I can actually tie it down without any problem.

My question is, would it do any harm the engine or engine mounts etc... because the engine can't really move alot when I rev the engine.

Thank, Bastian

If it is rubbing it all something will wear through, either the bar or the manifold.

Thanks for the reply, it is rubbing the strut bar and the part of the intake manifold with the block off plate, it got two pieces where you could put some bolts on, but which you don't need, I'm sure you know what I mean. I Guess it won't rub much, because it's very tight.

Glad it won't do any harm, I guess you can use your stock strut bar with a klze.

WE used bold to put the bar back a few inches, so it clears the IM no problem
