V6 MX3 Solid Urethane Motor Mounts

Post by nolanspawn »

I have gotten solid urethane mounts made for the Probe/Mx6's and now I am curious the interest in the Mx-3 crowd's. Here is a picture of how the Probe ones turned out.

If you guys are intersted in these kinds of mounts let me know. They arent just inserts they are full replacements w/ urethane cores. They are made from much stronger than stock material and are gold cadmium plated to prevent rusting and give them a flashy look. If someone would post pics for me of stock V6 Mx3 mounts I would appreciate it.

Josh

i "might" be interested. I can get pics of stock mounts. they are very similar, if not identical to the probe ones. I know taht the probe inserts won't fit, b/c the contours of the inside rubber are different compared to MX3's, but since these are complete replacements for the motor mounts i wouldn't be surprsied if they'd bolt up.

Has anyone found your replacements too stiff on the PGT/MX6, people want the stiffer mounts but don't want to lose the fillings in the teeth at the sametime. Also, make sure u get the  from Jeff if your going to do a bulkbuy.

count me in. I recently replaced the front mount. that would be the one on the right in your picture.
I still need to replace the rear mount but the local parts stores don't seem to carry it.

one suggestion: It would be great if you could include in a kit the rubber grommets for the crossmember, I had to fudge some, the stock 11 year old rubber fell apart.

on another note: I believe the probe front mount is what the store wound up ordering for me but I had to bore out the mounting holes on the crossmember to accept bigger studs.

I should mention that the rear mount pictured(left) doesn't look anything like our rear mount.
otherwise I would have ordered it months ago.
sorry I don't have any pictures for you .

Thanks for your time and effort.

If yo're having all that trouble, why not just fill the stock mounts and make them solid?
