if i were to have enough problems with my 1.8l, like i am now, would it be a finacially smart move just to get a new engine dropped in? say a j-spec or american mx-6?

Thanks- Peace

If u want to be financially smart u woould be better of selling the mx if its causing probs and buying an integra or prelude. Low maintanace. Mazda's V6 is notorious for going wrong and costing money. Also integras and preludes are quite a bit faster. I have both and an mx-3. :froggie_red:

I kinda agree, but the insurance on a Honda is way too overpriced. Im talkin about swappin a KF-VE

Actually The mx-3 is known as a b i t c h car. I personally disagree cause i have one but hondas are not girls cars. The 4 cylindes all out perform the k8. Also insurance wont be any higher than a v6.

Cars are never a financially smart move. If you like the car swap the motor. If the car really doesn't do it for you move on. Just comes down to if its worth it to you.

BTW- I've had more trouble with similar year hondas then I ever did with my MX-6 or MX-3.

Integras are way slower than V6 MX3s. My boy has an LS and its slow as balls. And I'll admit the GSR and Type R and VTEC Preludes are faster, but for the money you can go out and get an RX-7 and eat both of them. Also if you swap in the KLDE (which is very very cheap) you can run with GSRs and Preludes no problem. And if you get a KLZE in your MX3, you can run with S2000s. So in my opinion a swap is well worth it.

hondas are weak, ever since i put my klze in they cant hang at all, the motor is stock and i still pull gsr's typeR's all day long. they have no down low power and no torque like the ZE at ALL.
