Funny Door Panel Story

So, I decide that I want to do the fibreglass resin upgrade to my door panel fabric! Yay! I decide to go to the auto wreckers to get a spare panel to work on just in case I screw things up royally! I get there and the guy shows me 4 panels, the last being perfect, mint condition! So now we get down to pricing! He says you know how much these go for brand new right, I of course agree with him, he says ya, they go for about $200 CDN. He then goes and tells me that the insurance companies pay approx. $180 CDN for a used panel!!!
SO this just goes to show you, choose your wording carefully, cuz in all honesty, that was the only place I went to, and I really don't know how much a door panel goes for!!!

ROFL Thats great man, I'm lovin it... I had a guy try and rip me off the a 93 MX3 that was totaly shot the othr day! Whats with the lower mainland lately! Some many scams!

yes, it's all in the wording...I got a pair of mint condition door panels from the wreckers, and i got them both for $15CND...and Mazda wanted 200 for new ones..

_________________________________________________<p>Sorry Marlon, I have power windows, and it just so happens I toasted my first door panel! I tried to do th fabric conversion and made a royal mess! The new one I fibreglass resined, and it turned out great! (Passenger side is next)
