I was driving on the highway. Suddenly, my car dies. I try to start it and it will only keep running if i keep giving it alittle gas. It runns reallly ruff and i hear "valve clack"...My step dad told me my timing belt might have jumped a couple teeth...And is there anywhere to hook up a timing light???

<p>Thanx in advance,
Mykil²

The chances of the belt jumping while driving on the highway are very slim. Most times when the belt jumps its when you it the gas really hard. "Valve Clack" isn't a good sound, my guess is you might of dropped a valve. My suggestion to you would be do a compression check before you try to keep the car running to see if its in time. Remove all the plugs, disconnect the wireharnasses going to the disty and the fuel rails. Also pull the big fuse for the fuel pump. Then test each cylinders compression. You'll know right away if there is a problem.
