KLZE header options?

I did a search and didn't find any definite answer to this question.
Everyone says to use the K8 exhaust manifolds if you swap in a KLZE.
Are there any headers available for the K8? I would imagine they would work with the KLZE if there are any available
Also, I read that you can use the Probe/MX6 headers, but have to relocate the cat a few inches back. Do you have to modify the headers at all? or just the existing piping / downpipes?

Thanks for your help

You can use the Probe/MX-6 headers called "HOTSHOT Headers" on the K8. You will have to relocate the CAT about 2 inchs or so back. You will also have to have a bong wielded on at the muffler shop for the rear O2 sensor. The EGR system will not exactly line up, but there is a EGR port in the header for you to use. I don't know what you will have to do on this cause I didn't use the EGR system on my engine... All of the above was very easy. The EGR will just need alittle bending in the pipe I guess, nothing a muffler shop can't handle I am sure...

IF you use the KLZE ecu you don't need to use the EGR stuff right? I thought that EGR crap was K8 specific? Or am I wrong

It's a "bung". A "bong" is for something else. Heh.

hehehe... The EGR is for U.S. Cars.. The KLZE doesn't have EGR.. In my case I cut the EGR tube off the header and had it welded over..

Cool. I'll probably get the pacesetter headers. A buddy of mine with a 626 put them on his KLZE and he said the differernce is like night and day.

A longer primaries section headers would be a good choice for ZE, since it deliver most of it's power at top end.
I would go with the pacesetter, it has longer primaries than hotshot.

I am just wondering why pacesetter headers are better then the hotshots. I have heard nothing but good things about hotshots and badthings about
pacesetter products.
can someone clear this up?

Pacesetters make more power but are made less precisely....

im gonna share my experience with ps headers over the past few days. i have the klze in my 92 gs. first off the qualitey isnt to great but for 200bux u get what u pay for. now fitment is the main concernm. they do not fir correctly at all. save urself teh money and dont get them. my set is ruined now . basically the front header flanges hit the oilpan and the rear header hits the frame. the y pipe hits the shifter stabalizer. after cutting the flanges to make them fit i could not get a good seal and the y pipe is still up against the shifter stabalizer and really close to my shift linkage. im putting on the stock ones again. i dunno how hotshot fits but pacesetter just didnt work out the way i had planned

k u cant beat the price 200 for pacesetter but the cars that i heard them on sound like trap along with the gains takes away from low end and give you high
i have had bro speed and the dyno charts that i have seen they give you a even power band and hot shot are right up there with bro speed but they are expensive but you get what you pay for
