What intake to chose ?

The K&N conefilter <p>Whatever intake you buy make sure the filter is placed somewhere where it can breath fresh air or most of the benefit from the non-stock filter will be lost as it sucs warm air from the engine room.

But K and N does not make a complete kit for my mx3

Lots of people here have K&N filters on their MX-3.

Make your own fo sho! saves money that way, and ya the most important thing is to have the filter in a good spot, preferrably just under the car or the corner light... Theres a pocket there that a filter fits in nicely, but if you put it there Id cut a hole in the bumper for a lot of extra air.

I'm guessing your car comes with fog-lights (or at least the fog-light cutout), I used the cutout as a cold air intake for my cone filter, I didn't like the homemade intake 'cos my filter was going to be too close to my hot trans. I don't think it matters too much which brand you use, just as long as you get cold air to it
