i am looking at a 93 mx-3 with the 1.8 and was told the only prob is that the engine over heats. its not the original motor and only has 38000 miles so what could the prob be. i wanna know before i buy it.

are they selling it because it overheats?
possible water pump leak.
blown head gasket
radiator blockage
bad electric fans

Is it overheating without any visible signs of a coolant leak?
It could be something simple and cheap to repair or it could be something very complicated and expensive to repair. my bet is with the complicated deal. Why else would they be selling it.

Is there coolant in it? Check with them and see if its cool with them if you can bring it to a mechanic, thats usually the best idea.
