Hey Donald, where did you get the stuff for your car? I am really interested in making my 1994 4 cylinder 1.6L engine. THanks, Chris

Are you serious, it cost 600$ for the turbo and everything related to it?<P>------------------<BR>Brainless<BR>93 Red RS<BR><A HREF="

8.5psi is a good boost level for the street. 132mph is about what a Stock GS will run. Sounds like you got a nice mid 15 second car there.

This is for David, or any one else. BTW it's not a mx-3 question but a more general one. I want a really fast street car and I don't care about getting the most HP or the fastest drag times, but I want it to be very responsive and have good power throughout the powerband. Would you recomend getting a supercharger ( Roots type ) as opposed to a mid-sized turbo. Keep in mind that it is almost solely for street driving.

Though this is off topic...I'd recommend a small turbo at low boost levels.<P>Roots blowers are grossly ineffecient. <P>Roots blower on a Civic Si=~60hp+ over stock<BR>Centrifugal SC on a Civic SI =~110hp+ over stock.<P>Turbo would be even more with more drivability, as you would have some turbo lag, which is a good free traction control on FWD cars that struggle getting low end torque to the ground anyways. Plus, with a Turbo, you get near stock MPG while cruising/light load, as no boost is being made. Unlike a SC, where boost is a function of RPM.<P>------------------<BR>David Coleman- <B><I>Moderator</B></I><BR><A HREF="

Thanks man. I never thought about the traction issue, that's true. I ordered Maximum Boost on your recommendation, I'm hoping to learn a lot from it.

Did you put the turbo on yourself, cause i just talked to a guy that does that stuff and he said it would be around 2 to 3k to buy one and then have it put on. I wish i could do this myself, anyone know where you can get the resources to guide through installing a turbo??<BR>thankz again

i got a US2k to 3k estimate for turbo too, and it was only supposed to give me like 32 horses... now i got a NOS tank in the hatch and it works wonders against civics, preludes, and eclipses/talons<BR>the whole kit was 525 bucks installed<P>if u get it set up to engage at full throttle, i think its a much better value then a supercharger or a turbo... recommend it to anyone
