My engine had ticking noise...mostly when I started the car...when I changed my timebelt I also changed oil to mineraloil...the ticking is much less now if anything all!!! Oil or timingbelt???

could have been your HLA's or your timing belt tensioner, so there really isnt know way of telling without asking the mechanic that did it.
