Are you talking about the plastic tubing in front of the engine near where the hood latch is ?

If you have and aftermarket filter (which you seem to have from your pictures) you can remove it.<P>It was used to send cold air to the OEM air intake filter box.

I don't think it will help that much since the filter will mostly suck in air from the engine bay at idle and maybe a little bit of fresh air from that tubing part at high speeds.<P>But the gains will be minimal. just set it top of you fan shroud or make your own bracket
