I sometimes have problems shifting into fourth, I might have to try twice before it goes in. It almost gets stuck. Whats the problem?

The problem is no one has removed your transmission and rebuilt it!

<BR>This is not something you can take care of externally. My guess is the synchronizer ring for the fourth gear is worn out or, even worse, the synchronizing teeth on the gear itself are also worn out. That is just a guess, however.

my 3rd gear has a bad synchro too....try to change your tranny fluid...it might help lubricate things a little better for now

Yo that happens with my third and fourth gear. At first I thought it was my syncros, but it wasn't. Then I thought I sucked at shifting ( which I may hehe ) but I realized that I was trying to cut over to hard when I was shifting, and it was hitting against the gear box. When I shift out of second into third I move it over to the left first, and then push up, I don't try to do it diagonally. If you look at the shifter when you let it free in the gear it moves over a bit, and that was what created the problem for me... Hope that helps
