Cops on BBs

I just read an article where, in Australia cops have started going on this type of bulletin board, looking for illegally modded cars then sending the owners a letter demanding the cars be brought in for an inspection.

Does this happen elsewhere or am I just slow on the uptake here???

I love when people say they hate cops. For obvious reasons which I am not going to go into, take it easy and show some respect. The only people that hate cops are the people the cops are chasing.

yah the cops in australia are different then everywhere else in world, cops over here are not as "money hungry" as in they arnt as bad as in australia.
Aussie cops really suck *** , they try to rape you for every dollar you have and realistically they should be doing their Fcukin jobs and arresting drug dealer and the underworld crime lords which are down in melbourne.
Instead they install speed cameras everywhere, have speed limits that if your 5kmh over the limit you get an 80 dollar fine.

they just use it to make money its a joke.

they of course make money here but not nearly as bad as what i experienced in australia

Yeh I didn't know if this was just normal or if this is a new tactic.

I notice a lot of people obscure their number plates when posting pics of their rides and wondered if this was the reason?

Here in the US (wisconsin) ive been staled by police for the size of my muffler tip. Nothing as bad as those tactics, but I recieved 2 tickets for my exhaust on my Subaru Legacy. They said they could here my car a quarter mile away. The exhaust I had wasn't loud at all it just had a larger than stock tip on it. I came to find out later that they were actually following me around and spying on my car while I was at work. Both the tickets I got were dropped because each time it was inspected for noise it passed. It just seems like around here they're just looking for a reason to hassle people with tuner cars. All day long I see and here huge redneck trucks with glass paks and 3" inch duals rolling right by cops, but I get pulled over cause I have a big muffler. I can't wait to move to florida where the culture is more common and the cops have better things to do than hide behind my work waiting to hear me start my car. Sorry for the rant, but I just have had a lot of expierence with this stuff.

I am sorry you guys feel this way about Police Officers.

Who are the first people you guys call when someone breaks into your car and takes all of that nice stereo equipment?

Who do you call when you walk into you local mall only to come out to find your precious MX-3 is not in the parking stall you parked it in?

How in the hell can you walk around your local city/town feeling safe and not worried about some punk *** piece of **** taking you out. Go and ask someone from a third world country if they feel the same way.

It is pretty pathetic that there are people out there who make the statements "I hate cops", not realizing just how safe they are sleeping in their beds at night.

Yeah, you pretty much guessed it, I am a cop and I work in a specialized unit. I see every piece of **** that walks the face of the earth.

If you are ever in my neck of the woods, let me know. I will take you on a ride a long, and then you will be very thankful for what you have.

Don't be upset at Police Officers because you screwed up and got a ticket. Sure there are a few bad apples in the bunch, but don't let one or two allow you to make such a permanent decision.

There is so much pressure in this line of work that you guys have no idea, unless you are in the business. So much pressure one of our Lieutenants ate his gun last night in front of the Chief's house.

Think about it.......

I am in no way trying to make a generalization about police. I respect them very much and am thinking about training to become one when I move to Tampa. I was just stating that the police in my rural town should spend more time busting the Heroine dealers that have turned all my friends into junkies, and less time following me around cause I got a big muffler tip.

I know there are good cops out there. I have an uncle and a good friend who are both officers. It's the cops that pull cars [me] over for just looking like a teenager that tick me off. I have no problem accepting a ticket when I'm speeding, but I do get pissed when as I'm being clocked, the old dude in the car flying by me in the left lane gets away while I get the blue lights. Many cops are just arrogant and have "little man syndrome" (see my Turkey Day post). It's those ones that give a bad name to the good cops still around.

Sorry, bro. It doesn't get much better around here.
