ok so my brother is going to build a go-kart. he has finished the frame.. two-seater chassis with roll-cage style body, almost like an off-road go-kart and front a-arms and rear arms with dampers. but he's just finished the frame. we were planning on putting two foglights up front and two at the top of the frame and was wondering if most tecumseh or briggs go-kart motors come with a battery power source, or will we have to add it on? since the power comes from the spark plugs, air, and fuel, the motors HAVE to have some type of electric source right?

if im not mistaken briggs uses a magnet in the flywheel that passes the coil to create the electricity for spark. At least thats how I remember them from small engines class.
