I'm not sure, but i think you can use the bp ecu and get quite a bit more power. you can use alot of peices off of the bp to get more power, but you know i'm not totally sure.

Thanks-Joe

if you have the 92-93 sohc then you can swap between the BP. if you have the 94-95, your pretty much screwed. the 94-95 is only swapable to itself. other than a few misc parts like the distributor, injectors and such. but no ECU swap.

it's a difference of 200cc. you have a completely different engine that has different needs than a bp motor. the bp has a different pulse width along with a different size injector and is not a good thing on a stock b6 motor. (intake/exhaust is still stock)

the only time you see a benefit from using the bp ecu is when you have internal engine work done or a bp/b6t motor swap. this helps with a better fuel curve to work with.

if you don't have a substantial increase of air coming into the motor, it would run like crap.

For the majority of intents and purposes you can not just swap the ECU. VArious sensors and at times full wiring harnesses must be adapted as well.

A miata uses DIS, you would have to swap that over as well to use a Miata ECU. This very likly modifying the wiring harness as of the engine in the mx3 sits transverse.
