never heard of one, the closest i can think of is the brace that hooks to the a-arms on the V6 and you have to swap your a-arms to those of the V6 and maybe more, i dont know

The only two tie bars that can go on the front end are: the one papa roached mentioned that the v6s came with stock and the upper strut brace that connects the tops of the strut towers together, theres a ton of theser on ebay but they look weak an crappy ,corksport carries the good heavey duty ones that look like they work much better.

SRD Performance makes a Front LOWER tie bar for the GS's-- and it WILL not fit the 4-cyl.
If you want an upper strut bar-- check with Corksport or Ebay.
The ebay ones are cheap-- but the Corksport ones are SUPER nice and a lot better quality.

This might "sound" stupid, but would the difference in quality really matter unless your going 120mph around a hair pin turn? Sure the corksport might look a tad bit nicer, but for about $20 on e-bay, I doubt it is worht it. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm stupid, but then again, maybe I'm right

??? lol....

The way I see it is that if it "the bar "is thin an can flex with less stress on it at slower speeds. not to mention higher speeds.and the whole idea is to eliminate any strut tower movement.I think a box design instead of the round bar would be alot stiffer an would be alot more ridgid.anyway Alot of people swear they help, the maita comes with a heafty steal one,an the rx8 has one that looks a couple of mountain bikes were welded together.
Untill I test one for myself Id be a bit leary of putting the bigs bucks out and there is no sence getting the cheap one if its ineffective.

Eugene, might want to double ck. info on that link you provided. Fitment info pasted from it as follows... "92-96 Mazda MX3 The front bar will not fit the MX3, But the rear will fit fine."

GS models came standard with a type of lower front cross-brace called a transverse member which will also retrofit as an easy bolt-on upgrade to the RS. No modification or other parts needed. The RS is already pre-drilled and tapped to accept this part (12x1.5 - 4 bolts). I paid $25 USD for one off a 92 GS earlier this year. Installed in minutes and gave excellent results for more responsive handling on my 95 RS. Did a lot of research before buying this and there does not appear to be any other lower tie bar/brace mod available for RS's.
Also added an upper front strut brace/bar purchased new on ebay (from Drivingear) for around 30 bucks incl. shipping. The ones on ebay appear to all be made by Toucan and while not as heavy duty as those offered by Corksport/MazdaSpeed, are much less expensive, with excellent fit and finish, and I gotta say, the results were astounding! BEST suspension upgrade for the money I ever did. Took it for a quick test drive and didn't come back for 2 hours. Must have driven every twisting rough surface road within 25 miles of my house. Much much more responsive steering, far reduced body roll in turns, and the car handled road irregularities like a champ. Unless you are gonna be pulling some formula one type G's (& c'mon, it's an RS after all!

) I couldn't justify spending the extra $$ for the more expensive one at Corksport. Have since installed these on my Mazda 626 and yota Camry with same results.
