Ok, so i just bought my mx-3 in T.O i live in saskatoon SK, and my temp insurance expired yesterday. And i was taking my car to get the SGI safety inspection today and plate it tommorow, and halfways to the garage i got pulled over. $540 f---ing dollars for driving an unregistered vehicle. f---! man thats like a combat front bumper right there. I'm pissed. The cop wouldn't even cut me a break, the bastard made me get it towed the rest of the way to the garage. $30. Soon as i saw the cop was the second car behind me i shoulda turned off the road and hammered it out b4 he even got a good look. Next time....

At least he didn't give you a ticket for no insurance, that's up to a $5000 fine in Ontario and a manditory court apperance.
I would just take the ticket to court and try to plea your case. If you are lucky they might let you off, at the very worse they will reduce your fine a bit. Plus if you take it to court you don't have to worry about it for about 9-10 months.

Good luck fighting that one. My roommate had the same situation last year, very hard to fight that one since you knew when it expired.
You mentioned S'toon, might have to hook up sometime. Coming out to the street car shootout on the 10th?

Tonight i got pulled over for excesive loud from my "hollywood" muffler. The cop gave me a ticket for $110 and told me i had 1 week to remove it. I made him show me the traffic act and it said muffler must be in good repair and not to make excesive noise. By the way i live in ontario Canada. Anyone else had these problem and can you fight it in court, or should i get rid of my exhaust system, which would be litterally be throwing out $500.
Thanks

Motorcycles have louder mufflers, they don't get tickets for that. Everyone I've know or have talked to who has gotten an aftermarket muffler related ticket in Ontario has gotten the ticket thrown out in court. So definately take it to traffic court.

Different Area but same thing, I was driving through town yesterday and the cop pulled me over for a excessively loud muffler, I dont even have a loud muffler he was listening to my turbo spool up as I was going down the street. So told me to rev the engine to here the muffler and I told him my muffler was new and it was just stock. I did it anyways and I reved it mildly so the turbo would barely spool. He felt like a real dumbass then when he couldn't here that sound so he let me go with a warning.

If I am not mistaken, at least here in Ontario the police are supposed to do a specific noise test on the muffler to measure the noise level, if they don't do this then there is basically no evidence which is why it is a bogus charge.
Even if he did do the test on your car chances are you would pass it anyways which is why they never bother to do it.

When he pulled me over he told me to Rev it and i reved it to about 2 grand and he was like whoa thats too loud etc. I asked him about the crotch rockets, motorcycles, old camero's etc and he said he was dealing with me not them. He classified it as a hollywood muffler. I think he was just under his quota for the month and needed to hand out tickets. I'm going to fight it...

I mean except for the strict rules on the car. I mean I was watching a video and we have so many people killed by guns and Canada has like 95% less then us. Anyways
Well thats crazy I mean I know cars that are way louder then mine down here in US and no one ever gets pulled over. I remember when I cop pulled by me and I drove away like normal, loud as any other car. I mean they can't pull me over for it I don't think.

Oh god! If a cop put his ear near my muffler and told me to rev it. I would give him what he asked for. I would just lay on it until he hit me with the billy stick. Just for pulling me over for such a pathetic reasons. They are all haters.
