where can i find a header

where the heck can i find a header for my mazda mx3 1994, 4 cylinder with dohc, i can't find any anywhere. If u have any idea where please let me know and what the price would be?

Unbolt the heat sheild covering it. The stock one is actually a header and not a manifold. You could polish it or ceramic coat it (someone's already done it). Buying one from a company would too expensive for the horsepower you would get (if you want power), and you could make the stock one look good for 1/3 of the price if you want looks.

Nope the DOHC and SOHC manifolds are different. Ours is cast.

The header for the 2001 protege 1.6 DOHC is a perfect match for the mx-3 1.6 DOHC look around on the net you can find one easily.

is there any real difference between the stock header for the protge and the stock header for the mx3?

to my understanding that the stock header is very efficent & there is no real gain in putting on a new header
& what engine is in the 2001 protege
& how do you know it is a direct bolt on

our manifold looks pretty restrictive to me and why does it have to go right into a cat. convertor ?
