Lights went OUt
Lights went OUt
I took my dash apart yesterday, and i put it all back together, but now my parking and instrument lights do not come on. I checked all my fuses & bulbs... they all seem fine! Although, the door beeper doesnt even come on when i switch my lights to parking (when i open the door, w/o key in ignition). I had to drive home with my hazards on... Anyone out there have this problem?? please help... thanks.. NOel

Re: Lights went OUt
I bet you missed a relay somewhere. On the drivers side, behind the fuse box you will see a row of maybe 3-4 black relays. The smallest one is the horn (La-10) then the next one back I believe is the lights. Try to make sure it is plugged in all the way, and the same for the others. Do your park lamps come on? WHen I had this problem, the headlights were the only thing that went on. You may also check, next to or close to the Hood release on the back side you will have a spot where two plugs about 2in wide maybe the color blue come together. They are bolted down with a 10 mm. Try there, then there is a grounding point behind the bottom of the dash about where your right leg is. That may have come undone. Then there is on the far right by the door. Just go up that kick panel and you will see the bottom of the A/c blower motor, and some relays on the right side, close to it is another grounding point. I hope these hope you.

Plus, on the switches on the drivers side, where the Light illumination button is, That plug that goes into the back of it will also fit the Blank cap on the direct right of that switch. I also had the two plugs switched around. Now I most definately sure the problem Lies here.

Re: Lights went OUt
Does your Cigar lighter or radio work?<BR> The power mirrors, Clock, Radio, and Cigar lighter are all in the same fuse setup. I had to disconnect my cigar lighter and only plug in the light for the lighter for the Clock , mirrors, and radio to work. Everytime I added the lighter, the fuse would burst.
