what is the best way to lubricate the shifter? to be more specific, i'm talking about the point where the "ball" of the shifter and the two plastic holders rub. its been sticky and making squeeky noises lately.
and one other shifter question: what exactly is "thread-locker" for the nut on the retainer screw for where the control rod attaches to the bottom of the shifter rod?
thanks for the help

u gota remove the center console pieces that cover the shifter. then u gota take off the rubber "ring" thats on top. then pop off the spring and take off the top white ring. put the grease on the ball. btw i have the pacesetter short shifter so i've done it before.
