The driver's shoulder belt on my woman's car hasn't worked since we bought the car last July. Yesterday the passenger belt got stuck midway on the track and now it won't work at all. I remember seeing on this board that there was a recall for this issue. Is the recall still good? I.e. will it be free for me to take it to a dealership and have them fix both belts?
Also, how long does it take to do the repair? The closest mazda dealership is 45min from me and I'm hoping that it can all be done in one day.
Thanks for your help guys,
-Bryan

the recall should be good forever, this is a safety issue and mazda doesn't want legal issues resulting from the seatbelts not working. It should cost you only time and the trip out there.
call ahead to the dealership and tell them you want to bring it in for the recall on the seatbelts and tell them both tracks are stuck or have been stuck at one time and to get all the parts necessary to repair both. It took them a day to do it before on one of my old MX-3s. It generally should be a quick job if they have all the parts.
