How long will a water pump last?

Mine went just under 200,000km.

I needed a new one at about 190,000Kms

Mines in the shop right now for that at 120,000Mi, with all the other stuff that needs replaced (timing belt, oil seals etc.)it's 680USD!<p>[ February 21, 2002: Message edited by: tk1138 ]

Possibly forever.<P><BR>Suppose to change when you change the timing belt every 60k.

I just changed mine at 220,000 kms, Did the timing belt at the same time. My friends and I did it in my garage. it took us about 3 days, but we saved about $600 by doing it ourselves.

Ok, thanks. Seems like they need to be replaced around 180,000 - 200,000km on average. <P>Im at 118,000km right now :p
