Good stuff, I got my ARP head stud kit from them and their listed price was really good too.

heres the tear down pics had bad valve seals in 2 chambers, and some scoring on the rod caps and bearings, and very burnt oil!!!

Was the engine pulled out of a running car? Other then being a bit dirty it's looking to be in good shape.

Yep I heard the car run before I bought the motor only reason he pulled it was for a kl swap next week its getting sent to the machine shop and prepped for gtr internals :twisted:

so i took my miata wheels and painted them chevrolet orange and fitted the 1.25 inch wheel spacers in the rear and 1 inch in the front..

after finding my lost my homemade wooden hatch cover (dont ask how -_-) i got it upholstered by a local shop and it looks nice!

also freshened up the bay a bit by polishing the letters on my valve cover...

just got some eagle alloy type 028's specs are 15x7 0 offset, i currently have 195 50 15's but im switching to a more narrow tire for some stretch and higher so i can tuck them.... but for now they still look awesome! gotta just clean them up.. ill post pics soon enough.

havent posted in a while so heres the current update... acquired bp #2 (actually its a b8) my setup so far is b8 block b8 rods & pistons late bp crank. bottom end is assembled with sealed power ceramic coated bearings, buying my lower end gasket set this week and head is off to the machine shop getting decked ported polished and valves are getting cut, next paycheck will be top end gasket set and motor assembly will begin ill post pics soon enough of everything!

ok so heres the build progress....
bottom end complete
b8 block, rods, and pistons
bp longnose crankshaft
all new bearings, seals, etc..
heres the pics

cross hatch honed the cylinders and ridge reemed the lips

broke a bolt installing the rear main seal :( and here is the process of pulling out the bolt, and broken extractor inside the bolt :welder:

boredom struck and i destroyed my valve cover with a wire wheel lol

so heres all the pics of finishing up the swap, ive been driving around for a month or so now it has about 600 miles on it, only problem was the machine shop didnt do the best job and i have a few clacking lifters which will be replaced very soon.

Do you still have the drawings for those wheel spacers?
