wow, im sick as hell. No progress to speak of on my last day of vacation. I removed my IM off the k8 with everything attached so I can better swap stuff over and run all the lines correctly, etc. I know its covered somwhere in this forum, but what do I have to do with the extra temp sensor connection from the k8? should I drill and tap my de outlet and put one in, leave it off, or what. Im pretty sure its the temp sender for the gauge right? In that case I could leave it off since i plan on installing a more accurate aftermarket one anyway, right

wow im kinda surprised that I haven't had a comment here since the motor is in...Guess installing a motor isnt as big a deal as it used to be. Well im psyched, and thats all that matters. Maybe there will be a "GOOD JOB" in a few weeks when its running.

lol, thanks. You recognized my cry for attention. But seriously, it took a long time to get to this point due to lack of funds and moving twice during the build. Sure I coulda just slapped the thing in in a week, but what fun is that? I've been known to bail on a project or two, but i've come this far and now theres no going back. The thing isn't even running yet but I feel a new air of motivation, excitement and a new respect for people who do a full rebuild. Im dreading wiring and trouble shooting, but theres always dumb luck, lol! Im totally nervous about the paint too, since my roomate and I have only painted one car and it was an Austin Mini. It turned out pretty nice for a first try, so I have my fingers crossed. As soon as I get over my cold there will be more to come.

It has only been a couple of days since you posted!
I know what it feels like to accomplish something like this, and want everyone to notice!
I was intimidated by the pictures, since I'm on 56K

and didn't see the last paragraph.
Now I'm going to wait for the pics to load
Congratulations! I hope you get it running perfectly.

Nice CLEAN engine! Mmmmmm.... I hope it starts right up for ya. I tried starting mine the other day and ran into issues. It's been over six months since I swapped my engine and it has been running since. Stupid disty wiring and ecu.
Seriously tho, nice job! Top notch.

Read this from start, just now. Kool with a kapital "K". I think the intake manifold looks really good all raw and industrial like. Great Work.

I finally got to see the pictures

I think you should get one of those wire wheels that points forward, instead of radially, and make circles, or half circles on it.

UPDATE: most of the wiring is sorted in the bay. I have about half a dozen plugs I have no idea about yet, but I have yet to consult the manual. Still gotta figure out the trans wiring especially. I didnt lable anything when taking it appart cause I was unsure what harness I had to use at the time of removal, so im glad its mostly sorted. i have to do a bunch more re-looming and replace a few broken connectors, but im on my way for sure! Also got washer bottle and pump on the way soon so I can get all that and p/s finished. Need to grab a VRIS from the j/y too(stoopid DE and there plastic crap!), unfortunately my Sentra blew a HG bigtime and I need a new DD before I can make that run. Prolly pickin up a 92 Sidekick 4dr 4x4 from my roomates dad real soon
