Hey, Solo, So here's my thing, I don't actually own a mx,yet. What is the worst thing you have noticed about the car? How does it run? What the fuel mileage on it? Is there anyhting else you can tell me about the car that I should know? The reason I ask, Is because I am looking in to buying one. But I don't know very much about them. I just came across the site. I saw your work log, Yours looked clean, and I like the look of it:). Thought maybe you could help?
Thanks Princess,

And yes Iam trying to get my posts up... Might take me awhile to get as high as you though...

princess a question like this should really go in the general section and it will still increase your post count and not clutter up someones work log. not sure about solo but for me the worst thing about the mx-3 is the headlights they aren't that good at night and the 4 cyl cars get a weird idle sometimes but it doesn't do anything bad. my 4 cyl ranged from 32 - 40 mpg on the highway depending on how i was driving and if the wind was helping :) i think the GS has an ocassion issue with the distributor but that is about all i know. you can PM solo or or post in the general section or if want to search the 4 cyl or v6 sections for common problems you could do that. overall though the mx-3s are great cars i've had more than a couple cars to compare them to

Ha! I have already PMed her with some info, but I totally forgot about the headlight thing! Ever since I got my JDM ones I dont have issues with that anymore. :P

Oh yea, there might be another worklog being made soon... :D

Possibly, I have a line on a beautiful silver 94 mx. This cars body is getting tired so I may do a transplant of all the goodies to that car. Ever since I have first wanted a car I have wanted Silver. I hope all works out!

It is, big time. Some guy backed into me the other day in a parking lot and made a huge dent, I got tons of rock chips and dents. Black is such a crappy color for defects. I love silver as it hides things well so we will see what happens!

man that just makes me sad... that is why the new mx i'm working on will rarely see the street. my white one got rear ended twice and had a semi tire blow up in front and take out about a grand worth of parts on the car maybe more :(

Alright, finally a update. I sold the SC Kit that I had :( Just not ready for that kinda stuff right now I guess, I dont wanna jump into unreliability I guess.

Anyways, this last weekend I decided to do some well needed tlc to the brakes and front end. I put in 2 new wheel bearings, outer tie rod end and 4 zinc washed cross drilled rotors with some better rear calipers and kevlar pads:

Yay

I was tired after, fricken 6 hours by myself and I find out that the hubs and spindles that I used have no holes tapped for the ABS bracket.. oh well ZAP strap ftw for now

The calipers are stockers that I have cleaned and painted with some caliper paint crap. The paint holds up fine, just take the caliper off the car before you do it unless your stupid. All 4 rotors and pads.. 150 CAD shipped to my house, so far they are great, initial bite in is awesome and they are quiet. We will see how they last, anything was better then my old rotors.
