Agreed with both above. My first suspension mod was eibach springs and then the koni reds W/O strut bars, and let me tell ya that just the reactivs that I bought originally made a huge difference it was night and day. I am a hardcore believer. My RX8 when I went from the OE bar to the Knight Sports CF brace it was a similar result amazing difference. Nd4SpdSe the OE brace although it has bends they are reinforced with crimps on the underside. I imagine that it does have some flex but on OE suspension that is what the entire chassis is designed to do.

I specifically mentioned the turnbuckles... The main support isn't given by the turnbuckles at all, they are merely a means to tie the reinforcement together. That design may not be ideal, but the adjustability has it's benefits.

We work on cars, every single performance mod comes at a cost. It's a tradeoff... That design allows more freedom for adjustment, which in turn makes it less rigid. A go-kart is great on a smooth track, and would corner better than anything. Throw it on dirt and rocks, and a kid on a bicycle would destroy it.

For what it's worth, I agree that the mounting points on the picture I posted were ridiculous. I still like the turnbuckle idea though, and I know full well how rigid they are, as the almost 100% exclusive shroud adjustment on small to midsize sailboats, they're tried and true.

Happen to think about it. The first design Cusco bar clears the ZE with milly manifold.

Pics of this? I guess I just don't see how this is possible with no bends in it. :confused2: :|

Might be a trick of the light, but it seems to be curved a little bit, not unlike the CS bars and the bits were the actual bar mounts seems raised as well.

Oh it fits perfectly, and it is completely straight.

This is James from Calgary's car. The 1st gen Cusco bar fits like a charm the ones they sell now do not.

Got any more info on that car Josh? I bought my BPT MX3 from a fellow named James, in Calgary, and those are the same rims that were on it when I bought mine.

Yeah, sorry James is from Alberta he goes by wyldside he was the MX-West President for a long time. This car is probably one of the most complete GS's you will ever see. It used to be owned by Taras in Victoria and James bought it a few years back. KLZE with DE retainers on and on and on. full suspension and paint, interior has been completely re upholstered. it is very mint.
