Nope.
But I wouldn't pay $12.95 either.

So I was running out of stuff to do... so I wandered into the garage.

A starter! I've never rebuilt one before, so I gave it a shot.

I'm going to paint the end cap aluminum after that paint dries (rust paint on steel)

It was DIRTY in there. The starter isn't in the best of conditions, but I think it will work fine. As you can imagine, it only sees load in one direction on its bearings, so their journals get pretty out of round.

Brushes still have lots of meat to them though. I degreased and regreased all of it.

Oh, I also got my oil pan done:

And look what the stupid kitten did!

She pushes her bowl out of her house (which stays above freezing) and this time the door flap lay in the water and froze in there. Stupid animal.

Yeah... she used to live in a cat carrier with a few pairs of jeans thrown over it, with a string of christmas lights on the inside,
and although out house is "under construction" about 3 years out of 3, I'd rather not look that trashy...

So I build a cat house with a flat roof, put siding and shingles on it to match the garage. Works great. Installed a 60w light bulb, and it stays above freezing even in the -40's.

On a car related note: I'll bake the oil pan on thursday when my mother leaves for 12ish hours.

A less stinky way of baking enamel: the wood furnace.

So I got my phenos today. Did a little port matching. Talk about tedium, with the wrong tools. So I'm half assing it because I don't want to spend any more than the 5 hours I just did....

De heads now look like ZE heads, and the milli manifold only looks slightly more like a ZE. I figured with the disturbance of how the injector works, and how its cast in there, if its all a little rough down there it won't hurt too bad, as long as there aren't any seriously abrupt changes.
