ya that strut bar looks sick but the bolts holding it on only seem to be using half of the threads. do you think that will be good enough to hold??? it wouldnt be that hard to get longer studs for the strut mounting plate.

There are more bolts beneath the bar, so definately yes they will hold.

Got it on ebay, from a uk-mx3 member that was selling his car, had to have it!

That was a preliminary fitting ;) I actually had too many washers spacing it up. So it's all good now :) I just shaved a little off the VRIS mounting bracket and so far have zero rubbing with the impossible millenia IM!

My brakes failed on Thursday on my way to work :o Fortunately it was gradual. I took it to a garage on the way to work, they spent 20 minutes with it on the car lift... and found nothing even though I was losing fluid FAST! They topped up my fluid and said to "drive it for a day or 2 and see how it goes" LOL WTF?>! So I drove home slowly and with huge stopping distances - using solely the handbrake! I got home jacked up the car on all 4 corners, wiped the brake hoses clean and found the leak in about a minute, f****** idiots. My goodridge stainless braided line had failed. The rear lines didnt come with a bracket to mount to the shock, so I cut off the stock bracket and formed it around the SS line. Over time the slack built up on the caliper end, this left no slack at the shock. This meant everytime my shock extended the hose was sawing against it's own fitting :( Design flaw methinks. Ordered OEM hoses, will be emailing Goodridge to explain my issue.

i have heard of those steal braided brake lines bursting.

it is said that the oem rubber ones allow a little bit of flex and with the ss ones too much pressure can make them burst.

i have a ss clutch line but ill stick with the rubber oem brake lines.

your lucky, brakes failing could be tragic.

I chopped up this:

Then cut slots in the stock pillar, fiberglassed them in, then used filler to smooth them in. Took a LONG time to do! But I'm pretty new to all that kind of stuff! I have pics of the various stages I think, I'll add them sometime :)
