I think it would be a great idea to pick on of the locations suggested by john and hold the meet there. On massive reason being that it will accomodate everyone and the food. After we are done we don't need to worry about packing up the BBQ and loading them back in the car...any misc stuff can just be chucked there.

After that we can all cruise on down to the falls fo sho...and take in the wine country cruise or something.

There's some amazing roads in Niagara-On-The-Lake, and of course the escarpement makes some nice roads too (Vineland). It wouldn't be at all a bad idea to organise a cruise from vineland to NOTL, than stop off at Lundy'd Lane for the cruise night and load up the parking lot with Mx-3's

yesh....zat sounds like a solid idea. So should be say one of the locations in John's list and then cruise to the falls and then park near lundy's?

No, we park at the No Frills *on* Lundy's, but I believe we need to get there before 8pm. Mississauga Valley Park sounds like a better place, but it would be nice to do some recon on each location first.

As well, what I would like to ideally do to plan is is have a mini-meet when the weather gets nice (and I take out the Mx-3

) and get a bunch of us to drive around the cruise route and get directions/ideas on where the cruise should be. It would be extremely helpful for local Mx-3'ers to the area to jump in and help us with that on roads they know are fun and less travelled. What I would like to see if have a cruise from Hamilton/Stoney Creak to Niagara On The Lake, follow the river and end in on Lundy's at No Frills

Me down for a mini pre-annual meet cruise meet...hehehehe. Just give me a good enough heads up so I can get the car ready etc.

Given JWMX3's suggestion for Ridge Rd, as well as (for what I remember driving with my parents as a kid) following the Niagara River, this is what I'm figuring for a cruise path

(Don't mind all the numbers, I had to add "Stops" in Streets & Trips to force it to take certain roads)

- Ridge Rd
- King St
- 7th St
- Lakeshore Rd
- East and West Line
- Niagara Parkway
- Bridge St to Stanley Ave to Lundy's Lane.

It calculated as a 1h29min drive, driving 91.9kms

Hope there are other K8s around or I'll be awfully lonely travelling on the roads

Well from what I recall...the route won't really allow us to be zipping through...it would be more like an actual cruise rather than a rally

There probably more K8's than ZE's, so I wouldn't too much about that...and don't forget the RS'ers as well.

Lol, you've never been to Ottawa. Those roads aren't designed to be flying through either.

I am sure...but the cruise through vine country has traffic and people...so in that sense we would have to be careful.

the first half of that cruise path from stoney creek to lincoln is very "fly" friendly trust me, theres no traffic you can put the pedal down for sure, just dont be admiring the lake and the scenery or you might go off the cliff

... its just every now and then you get slowed down by an old hick farmer in a 72' gmc pickup or old people out for a sunday drive
