allow me to re-cap this entire topic for the newbs who stumble upon the first page and squeal "Me Me Me!" but fail to read what's really been going on:
June 1, 2006 - the developer of the clear lenses first asked us if there would be any REAL interest in clear headlight lenses
June 2006 - August 2006: Several forum members showed great interest but worried about the illegal aspects of a lens with no dispersion patterns (which isn't exactly out of fear of getting pulled over or getting inspected, but in being "neglected by their insurance" in the event of a collsion with another party)
August 10, 2006 - the developer of the clear lenses apologized for delay and announced the plan for new prototypes because the initial ones weren't a perfect fit
February 2007 interest continues to be shown for the clear lenses, despite only two posts from the developer in total
