just make sure the bp ecu if for an auto. everything else is plug in and you have to wire the one wire v.i.c.s. wire into the ecu on your own, you splice it in with the4th in from the top row i believe it is. i agree with you on not closing this but people are just basically coming in here to call me an idiot because i am somewhat of a beginner.

Barry I am pretty sure it was you, how is your newer BP swap doing? Aren't you the one going from the 94-95 B6 and going to the newer BP models?

so i guess we are still on for discussion on past swap experiences, what to expect good or bad what to remember that you might forget anything like that.

I was going to swap a low mile b6, but the low mile ones have been sitting for over 7+ years. Never swaped a b6 nor BP yet, but do have 7 ZEs under my belt :)

94 bp's are the easiest ones i have heard of.

Fact:
90-94 proteges have the old version of BP with the black valve cover which is a direct swap for 92-93 SOHC mx-3 (for 94-96 DOHC mx-3 wiring harness needs to be swapped as well)

Rumor:
95-98 proteges come with the newer version of BP with gray valve cover which is supposedly a direct swap for 94-96 DOHC mx-3 (wiring harbess swap may be needed for 92-93 SOHC mx-3)

keep in mind i also heard that because the down pipe is different that will have to be modified to fit on any of them. and you will have to have an 02 sensor hole welded on on some.

Both BP's I have installed, the header bolted right to the stock MX-3 mid-pipe/ down pipe, whatever you want to call it. NO mods or welding or anything required.
