Carlisle is in Pensylvania, it appears.
How could you guys not have ever heard about it. It's one of the hottest and longest running topics on the board right now.
I'm going to Ottawa and I think I'm going to try to make this Carlisle trip. What day does everybody leave to go down?
one

Like I said earlier I am only going down to Carlisle, although I would like to go to Ottawa too I can't do both in the same month.
I've always wanted to go to that show for the past couple years so this year I am actually going to make an effort to go down there.
I don't know the specifics of what day/time I will be going for that but I will be working that out soon.

Hmm, looks like ALOT of Mx-3'ers of going from around USA and Canada, sounds like it'll be alot of fun, but it looks more like an old car show than an supercar/rice show, unless we go may 2-4 weekend
Although i get there'll be alot more mx-3's there than at ottawa, and the ottawa guys and come too, it should be pretty close to them, no?
Man, decisions, decisions...Carlisle looks to be really good, since thats something im sure is set in stone, i vote to move the Ottawa Meet a few weeks later
[ February 26, 2003: Message edited by: Nd4SpdSe ]

Yes the may 2-4 show is the one every one is going to. The was 15 mx3 there plus some people from the board that flew in for the show and about 2000 car cars in the show, lots for every one to look at. You can go around all day looking at cars and still not see everything

we should relay the message to Quebec Mx-3 too,
Carlisle would be nice to goto, all the nice cars and meeting some of the USA Mx-3'ers, and i ahve a friend that wants to go to Carlisle too, but i think it would be more fun to hangout with Mazda peeps...if i can pull it off, ill do both, but if its comes to just 1, if theres at least a dozen TO mx-3'ers going, i'll think ill do Ottawa
[ February 27, 2003: Message edited by: Nd4SpdSe ]

come on people, its only 2 days and 1 night for the ottawa trip. We all dirve up there on sat morning (it only takes 4 hours, Iv done it lots of times and it will be fun with so many people),
go to the show sat after noon, party sat night, meet up for some brunch on sunday morning then either leave when you want or we all drive back sun afternoon.
Its not a very big trip, the bigest cost will be the motel. Im sure if we shere rooms it wont cost that much, just bring some sleeping bags and start craming people into rooms :D .
I could see if it was a 4 day thing like carlile doing both would be too much but its only 2 days and its before carlile.

I emailed Scot earlier today and this was his response to the cruise down to Ottawa...
Emailing me is sufficient for signing up. I do have a list here. As for start location, I can tell you it is close to Toronto, if not right in Toronto; but we are not releasing the start location as of yet, just to protect us from any unnecessary police presence. Not that this is an illegal event, but you know how the police are. Lastly, for payment of the cruise, you can send it money order, check or cash by mail; or simply meet with in person. I myself am slightly immobile currently as my car is stored. Let me know which you would like to do. After that, I will give you the details for registering the hotel room. You will just need to call up and put a room on hold with a credit card, and need to mention that you are member of the cruise to get the discount. If you have any more questions, or any other friends that are interested, please email me. Thanks.
-Scot
SJIRadio.com

He also states over on his SJIRadio.com forum...
As many of you know, SJIRadio.com is having a group car cruise this spring. It will be either the last weekend of april or first weekend of may. We have arranged for discounted accomidations ($99 for a one bedroom suite with a living room with pull out couch) as well as discounted group breakfast in a banquet hall. Many other car clubs will be meeting us in Ottawa and it promises to be one of the largest meets in Ontario this year. It will cost $30 to go on the cruise, and that intitles you to secruity for your vehicles at night, maps, pacenotes, and all other discounts we manage to get between now and then. If you have any questions, please post.
-Scot
