That's not to say you can't make part of the image black and white, but if you have ever seen the difference between a black and white image and a desaturated one they are worlds apart. IMO it is better to leave a small amount of color on the background objects, as it lends to contrast. Examples (thanks to the original photographers):
A nice photo
A flat background
Now were artsy
Hopefully that makes sense. Here is another example:
A good picture is taken
The desaturation makes the background boring, but also kills the headlights, windshield, and even more noticeably, the turn signals
A quick touch up to fill in gaps and a little more color

Hey man thanks for those pics! The pictures I took were with the camera I have, it has some interesting features..i'll have to try my hand at photoshop tho! Thanks

My canon has that, the 'Color Accent' feature. Depending on the model when you pick the accented color you can set sensitivity with the up and down buttons.

hey i was wondering if any one can post a pic of there car with st springs and kyb struts or st springs and zx2 struts..
