A toss up really both ways would work well, your way is cheaper and easier and mine is more complicated and more expensive  (I tend to complicated everything simple) :crying:

Now I am wishing I waited for your pics

I got the parts today to finish my he-hem "master piece"

I decided to add a flex coupler to the MX-326GS' exhaust system today

Here is the flex coupler welded in.

The rear pipe needed to be shortened and a new flange was welded on.

Front/mid and rear pipe all pretty.

Installed and no leaks! Finnaly the last chapter of Man VS Exhaust.

Did you eliminate the long curve on the rear bank? That's important to keep, since it keeps the primaries equal length...

I didn't touch the primaries... Just the two pieces of pipe you see to move the y section back a couple inches...

My Pace Setters are different from those, one of these must be the revised version. Here's what mine look like:

The car is going to sounds nasty with unequal length secondaries. Might be good, might be bad... Mazda did tests with secondary lengths and found that equal length provide the smoothest power (SAE papers), but people on PT have found that these unequal length ones provide the best top end. Those long a-- primaries should help with the low down torque, but hurt top end, so IDK.... also your O2's only read cyls 5 & 6, which should be the leanest cylinders so that should be fine... I'm curious how you'll find them :)
Now with Moderator power!
