I have been thinking about that recently myself, compiling all the info one could possibly need in to one post. Or a single post that has links to all the answers typically asked. It would take a crap load of work, but would eliminate thousands of repeat posts.

ie

Pro's
blah blah blah
Con's
Blah Blah Blah

I have only seen one guy do that. Everyone else puts them somewhere else; on the housing behind the steering wheel, on the bottom of the dash, center console, etc.. I've never done it, but that makes me thinnk it's a PITA to put them on an aftermarket wheel. I would find a way to do it, though, if I got a different wheel.

slayer322 wrote:my thoughts exactly, like combination's with pro's / con's
ie
94-96 OBD2 ZE
Pro's
- More advanced system with a smarter ECU capable of more self-adjustments
- OBDII compatibility means the ability to use standard OBDII scanners
- Real-time system monitoring that on OBDI Mx-3's can't do unless they get a piggy-back or stand-alone system that allows it
Con's
Less experience and available knowledge. Almost all are affraid of KLZE swaps on OBDII Mx-3's.
Since it isn't a tried-and-true setup, there's little information and any fixes if things don't run perfectly.
Fix's
Running a KL02 VAF in conjunction with the OBDII systems seems to work well. I'm unaware of any emission test results to acknowledge that it works ok and will pass emission tests.
Harness change from OBDII to OBDI, but that conversion may have the car fail immediately upon emission test inspection (depending on the country/state/province)

Ya, the horn is tricky but not bad, but the cruise would require an extra 2 wires ran through, plus mounting points for the buttons. This is what I did on mine

some quick release hubs have more electrical contacts than just the horn. One would think you could wire the old controls inside the hub(momo) to work with the extra contacts in a quick release hub(nrg, etc). This is just a guess, you'd still have to relocate external buttons to the wheel.
On a side note, I believe hks has made a remote boost controller that straps on to any wheel, while working off some sort of radio freq. If it works for a boost controller.....

I can't find any info on complex hubs like that. You will need at least 3 wires, Horn+, Cruise+, Cruise-
(Horn- done through the column as ground)
For the buttons, you can also get this

The issue i have is spinning the wheel and ripping the wires off or something, i like the way you've done it Nd4SpdSe, still looks pretty stock and somewhat easy to reach still.
