Well from the maps on it right now it seems the Haltek grounded out and reset the ignition map. It has happened before with other people too, but not enough to have any type of recall... But this was never confirmed since CS didn't remember if they had changed the Ignition map or not....
Who installed it? I wonder if it could have been a wiring problem. They had new alternators right?

Good luck finding ARP headstuds for a KL. For the record, stock Headgaskets are MLS and are DEFINITELY not a weak point. If you are going for a reliable 400 whp engine, scrap the Millenia S Rods and go with Pauter rods found at http://www.importperformanceparts.net/. Yeah, they're a grand but at least you wont grenade a 3-4k dollar engine due to a snapped rod. Stock valves will suffice; I'd recommend using the entire KL 03 valve train (minus intake lifters) on a set of KLZE heads. Definitely forged pistons--take your pick at a manufacturer. Purchase some NISMO injectors and have your stock fuel rail modded to accomodate the larger diameter injectors. I think engine management has been touched on enough in this thread, so sift through your posts and you decide. Have all rotating parts balanced and blueprinted. Invest in a Fidanza or a resurfaced stock flywheel. Hate to state the obvious, but you certainly will need a beefy clutch.

I bought them from a BB on PT a year or so ago. If you do a search in the BB section you might find some info, as far as i know ARP does not have a part number for KL studs but they have made at least 10 sets.

I got the head and block kit and IMO it cost me about just over $500 US

It's not set in stone yet; but, somewhere between $5000 and $9000.

Well, since it's open. . . I've heard tell of modified Honda ARP studs which can be used on a KL while browsing on Probetalk. What are our options for headstuds and what is optimal?
