nope, that means your struts are worn.

Did you ever put shock boots on when you installed them? a bit of sand or grime getting on the shaft directly can result in accelerated wear causing the oil inside to leak out. That isn't tokico's fault, its your fault for not installing them properly.

ALWAYS use new boots when you install a strut. They need protection from dirt.

what kind of struts were they?

I never had mine leak  and I've personally installed 5 sets of ZX2 struts on various cars (my protege, my mx3 twice, my buddies escort, my buddies protege) All of them are still working fine today

I never installed them. My mechanic did...and yes, new shock boots were installed at the time.

I dunno, i just find it slightly odd is all.

I know of more escort and protege guys with these struts than mx3 guys and I've never heard a complaint from them.

^ then its gotta be the engine size, as stated before. V6 owners are just too heavy to the wee struts hehe

Are these sturts recommended for a 96 GS with ground controls, planning on getting ground controls but dont wanna spend alot of cash on struts, will these work fine and last a long time or are they gonna blow after 2 years.
