I can tell you what's gonna happen just from my personal experiance. The BPT will snap that tranny like a tooth pick if you get on it much! I have the J-Spec B6T in my 93 MX-3 RS with the stock F25M tranny bolted to it. I got on it for about 10,000 miles and broke the differential with a sliping Centerforce Dual Friction clutch & stock motor mounts. That tranny only had 50,000 miles on it when it broke. I have my B6T running around 180HP running a 13-14sec quarter mile at 90-95mph. I STRONGLY recommend that you upgrade your tranny, cluthc, flywheel, & drive shafts to a 90-94 Protege LX's for both swaps! You can run your MX-3's tranny on them till you get the money to upgrade them...just don't drive the car hard unless it's to get out of an accident, otherwise you better just creep around!
------------------------
Jeremy Miller
93 Mazda MX-3 RS-R :D
[ December 30, 2001: Message edited by: oo7sniper ]

Keep in mind that the 91-96 Ford Escort GT uses the same tranny. This might help you find one a bit easier.

I think the F25 tranny will hold up to the power of the B6T depending on your driving style. I have had my B6T bolted to the F25 tranny for almost 5 months now. I just upped the boost to 14psi. The first few pulls I spun going into 4th. No problems with the tranny but the stock clutch has accelerated wear. I don't see the point in doing a 4k rpm drop, your going to bog it anyways. Go from 2K rpm, remember, traction is your friend.

if you're strapped for cash and you don't plan on doing anymore serious upgrades, the stock tranny will hold the bpt as well. contrary to what people believe, the stock tranny is quite strong.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.

The G series uses an intermediate shaft so that they get equal length halfshafts, which reduces a lot of torque steer.

oh well, do what you want
