Hey Ryan, good to see some updates! Congrats on MSII as well.

I have to ask, where do you source rear clears? I haven't seen any... I know fronts won't fit in the back, I tried that already.

I think they come from a Miata although I'm not certain on the year.

There's only one version of the clear markers. For the rear bumper you have to flip them upside down... They may stick out a mm or 2 but that's how it works.

Mark, they stuck out closer to 4 or 5mm when I tried last week. :(

All you have to do is shim the top edge or bottom, the opposite side that is sticking out. I cut a vacuum line in half and used that, they fit flush after that.

I can give that a try, I would love to have matching clears all around. :D

Got my MS in the mail today, repaired my trashed rear bumper.

Found out I'm a dead heat with a 190hp/tq 1MZFE swapped MR2. Exactly dead heat.

This car needs a solid weekend of TLC.

-DS mini side almost fell off, I removed it.
-Grounding situation under the hood is not cool. Need to re-do that.
-Want to remove the PS and AC systems
-Want to check the magnet in my oil pan
-Needs oil change
-Dirty as H due to driving 10km on bone dry gravel to work every day for the past week
-Have a new fuel filter for it
-I have no idea what the ignition timing is set at
-Install my oil cooler system
-wash and fix the leaking transmission
-rust maintenance.

The rust is getting to be a pain. This shell has to run another two years, then I'll replace her with the Kliata...

Finally got a moment to breathe... at 11 PM, so I tried to adjust my projectors. One points about 10 degrees too low.

The adjustment screws.... are crap.

the whole light wiggles. A lot. I'm probably going to remove them and re-vamp the shittyness. Overall not impressed with the quality of the light. Cheap, yes, but the designers more than likely told themselves "this won't work well if it all" and built it anyway.

Home from a 3 week stint up north.

Going to an AutoX tomorrow.

GF drove the car while I was gone with no problems. Just have to change the tires back over...

Unfortunately I'm headed back up in a few days, so I won't have any time to install my new goodies.

MS is almost done, just a few more hours assembling, and then to build the harness...

Just finished my last exam. Read this for shits. Although this was a huge learning process for me, I don't see anything I effed up terribly! The ideas are pretty bang on, except maybe the oil cooler thing is not worth the time. Unless you're bouncing off the pump knockoff pressure, there are no gains to be had. Best gains will be in keeping all the oil clearances in spec.

The more you know, the more you know you know there's so much more you don't know....

Car is asleep again. It'll arise next summer to actually compete in the local autox club.

MSII isn't done yet. I know, I know. Its just time. If you're a busy-ish person, but a pre-assembled. Its worth it. Also, its gonna be the most worthwhile mod I've done. Management unlocks all the potential of your modifications...

Well, I went and blew a lot of money.

Image
http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk82 ... G_0467.jpg

225/50/16 Hankook RS-3's mounted on 16x7+40 Rota Grids

Just a wee bit wider than stock RS...

Image

I'm lowered 1" FnR, 5mm spacers on each corner, rolled fenders, but I'd need another inch of push to clear... so I just let it poke. As it turns out I love the meaty look anyway.

Grip is through the roof, I haven't found the limit yet due to rubbing issues in the rear, but I am currently living out of my car so the hatch is full. I can plant it in 2nd through a sweeper and wheelspin is at an all time low. All around no regrets.
