I used a passenger side switch on the drivers side. It was there for a few months until my JDM door panel arrived because the drivers switch failed in the midst of a mid summer heat wave and I didn't have A/C. But they're simple, any double-pole-double-throw switch would essentially work

Since we are on this topic I will share my contingency window switch. I believe I got it out of an late 80's model 323. The switches are a much stronger plastic. I basically carry this in my car when I think the normal switches are about to break (you now how they start to feel) so I don't get stuck with the window being down in rain or something.

It doesn't fit perfect and it's not very pretty but it's a good short term fix. :freak:

The switches work for both driver and passenger but the "On/Off" switch doesn't do change anything.

I don't understand how people break these switches... I've never had the slightest issue with it :o

My disty hasn't failed yet either, with over 45,000 miles of ownership(it wasn't brand new either)

Just give it time... I've probably been through 8 sets of switches in the last 12 years of MX-3 ownership.

I bought my Mx-3 with 109k kms, I did the ZE swap at 141k and moved it over. My ignition module failed on a camping trip in 2006, so about 3 years after my initial KLZE swap, and would guess the car had easilly over 200k kms on the original disty since the motor was blown in fall of 2007 and was never back on the road after than, retired with 243k kms.
