To fancy or complicated and you'll just end up with an unreliable car and you'll curse at. Do just a plain ZE or DE swap, spend the money to do it PROPERLY; belts, tentioner, clutch, proper ecu & vaf combo, sensors (new 02's). Especially if this is your first swap.

Right, why boost a tired 130hp motor or waste money rebuilding. Nobody really runs k8s for a reason. Like nd4spd said keep it simple stupid, everything he said makes sense, trust us we have been running kl swaps for years. You're going to spend enough on an exedy or whatever clutch u want, resurface flywheel, water pump, timing kit, fluids, fuel filter, whatever else. Why waste money rebuilding a k8? The other stuff is money well spent, will keep you happy for a long time.
