It was NOT made for the MX3, and was never an option for the car. BUT IT DID FIT! It was made for the 323. I have been looking for one for a while, they are about as hard to find as Mazdaspeed sway bars for the MX-3 :)

I was able to take some pictures. These bars are made for the Familia Line, but since the 323 strut tower bars are the same as the mx-3. I pulled the trigger back in 2007 and bought them on ebay.

Installed the Energy Suspension bushings on the TTL bars. Ordered new Trailing Arms from Mazda (protege still uses them) and Installed a SRD reproduction tie bar. Whiteline Rear sway bar and Moog sway bar links are in. Not sure what time of performance im gonna get from MOOG chassis parts, but im gonna give it a shot.

thanks for the additional pics of the rear bar that thing is sweet. You ran your exhaust piping UNDER your sway bar?! That would make me nervous... I suppose you can still clear speed bumps because it would raise with the rear wheels but still...

Ha ha! I sure did. Its not as bad as it looks. Im in the heart of the city of chicago, we have all types of speed bumps! Its not the rear i worry about, its the front that ive bottomed out pretty bad from.

Im also trying to search was to get my cold air intake more stable. The piping isnt mounted properly. Any suggestions on where to search?

Last years pics of finally being able to strip the wheels on both sides. Powder coating is a pain in the but to strip. Takes a lot of time. Mounted and balanced a fresh set of Toyo proxies before prime and paint.

I have a long way to go. Picked up some more parts this year and last year from most of you guys via FB. Learned that I will once again be a father, so building this car will continue to be a challenge. Thoughts of selling the car as a running project enter my head all the time. My brother keep pushing me to sell as is while my best friends threatens to kill me if i do. My Fiance' keeps asking me if I would sell it for wedding funds, so Im kinda glad its not finished. Gonna have to let it sit for another while longer and figure out how to divi my time. Ive considered sending it out to my friends shop and watch it get assembled instead of finding the time to do it myself. Whats the fun in that? IDK. Guess we will wait in see.
You are a bunch of stand up guys, working with perfect strangers. Thanks for the comradery.

Finally gave "project endless" the push it needed to roll on. I still have a long way to go. As I need to:

Image
Glass Head lights installed

Image
OEM USDM Side Skirts

Front JDM Splitter
Aerocatch hoodpins
jdm sidemarkers in.
Eunos SS Side Sills

Image

recaro SPD seats and custom fabricated sliders and seatbelt compatibility
mazdaspeed 330mm leather steering wheel.

Install an LSD
Upgrade to Ksport coilovers
Rear calipers and rotors
work on fuel delivery
roll cage fabrication
front suspension refresh
front brake upgrades
quiet my exhaust a little. i.e cat and resonator with mazdaspeed muffler.
Until then, im just saving some money.

Car looks great!

I'm wondering what you think of the Ksport coilovers. I'm currently running stock suspension on my car, but have been eyeing the Ksports as a potential upgrade in the future. I'm looking to get a functional drop (about the same as yours or a smidge higher), and wondering how the handling feels.
