What about the down pipe heat? I will bend it down with the torch then it's just slightly rubbing.

you will be fine, should not cause any excess heating. Just make sure it doesn't rattle, otherwise it could eventually wear a hole in the pipe.

ANSWERS; Ok you don't need the two bottom O2 'monitiors', you won't get any code and everything will work fine. Just be advised the rear O2 monitor plug will plug into your rear fuel rail so watch out for that. As far as your headers go I went to a muffler shop and bought two 3 bolt spacers. Install them where each manifold pipe meets the cross over pipe and that will space the pipe away from the oil pan. Spacers are like 1/4 to 3/8 thick and worked fine of course you'll need two additional gaskets but no biggy to buy those. You don't need that EGR pipe but hooking up the EGR electrically ensures you won't be throwing a code. I was lazy and even hooked up the coolant lines cuz they were already there. Good luck.

So if I read you correctly I can get rid of the EGR pipe and find a bolt on either side that will fit and leave everything else on the EGR system connected. Also the spacer idea is excellent thanks for the input, the two bottom o2s I was going to get 2 bungs tig welded on but after your saying I don't need them? Will this rob power without bottom o2's?

Little more help does anyone know what size is the EGR pipe fitting is? maybe a 24mm? I'm going to get a short flare nut wrench to fit it properly from mac tool or snap on.

The bottom two sensors monitor the O2 sensors but have no effect on fuel/air.

these are the ones i just picked up... sorta.. lol

i scored them @ PnP off a MX3 that was in there, so i know they fit, the clearance from the oil pan was about an inch or so (checked before i pulled them off) as for bolting up to a stock exhaust after the Y pipe im unsure tho since it was a complete aftermarket exhaust system on the MX3. all the gaskets where the punched metal ones

pics of the ones i picked up can be found in my worklog

Got the headers all done pretty much and I'm noticing when driving the headers has a much different sound, like air sucking after I take my foot off the gas & totally different exhaust tone. Has anyone notice this? Also I checked for air leaks and didn't notice anything.
